PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Hamilton Water Department will be conducting testing on its water system as required by the federal Susquehanna River Basin Commission between the hours of 6:00 a.m., Sunday, August 16th through Noon on Monday, August 17th. All users are asked to conserve water usage during this period, which would include refraining from watering lawns, washing vehicles, or any other activity that would consume a large quantity of water, or that can be postponed beyond the testing period. This testing procedure does not affect the quality of the water supplied by the system. Accordingly, system users need not be concerned about normal household water usage, although properties that are at a higher ground elevation, such as 5 Trees and Spring Street, may notice a drop in water pressure.
